Bengaluru: A shocking case was reported from Bengaluru where a duo posing as sales tax officials robbed a businessman of Rs 40,000 and 180 oximeters on Wednesday.
The incident took place at VV Puram when the victim, identified as Dinesh Kumar, who runs Srivari Distributors received orders for supplying 200 oximeters to a Kormangala company. On Tuesday, he managed 180 oximeters from Chennai when an unknown person dialed him and asked about the oximeters.
According to the report, Kumar at first denied having oximeters stock. He received a call from the same person the next day and he informed the miscreant that he was on his way to deliver the oximeter. The caller showed interest to look at the oximeters to which Kumar agreed.
The caller asked him to meet him at VV Puram and two unknown miscreants posing as sales tax officers approached him on scooter and asked him to accompany them.
“The duo demanded cash from Kumar. They forced him to withdraw Rs 40,000 from a nearby ATM kiosk. The two fled the spot with cash and 180 oximeters worth Rs 18,0000 from Kumar," as quoted by the Times of India.
Kumar while informing the cops told that the duo communicated in Urdu and were around 35-45 years of age. The accused are on the run and the cops have taken up a case of robbery and efforts are on to nab them at the earliest.
Another shocking case in Bengaluru
A shocking incident took place in Bengaluru on Saturday where a 29-year-old Iranian woman filed a complaint against her landlord and his son on charges of criminal assault and harassment.
The incident took place when the landlord did not return her full security money while she was vacating the flat. The argument took an ugly turn when the trio got engaged in a physical fight.
The police were called upon and the Iranian woman slapped the ASI as well stating he was touching her inappropriately, as per the report in the Bangalore Mirror. The lady was nabbed and after being produced before a magistrate, she was sent to prison. A case was also filed against the father-son duo.
